PSP Vs. DS hacks contest at Engadget

Why don't we just come out and say it? The PSP and the DS are roughly the same size - what would happen if someone compared the two? Finally, now somebody has.

Listen up, gamer-hackers: we’re doing a contest that will pit the best PSP hack against the best DS hack in a full-on head-to-head deathmatch. This is the Engadget equivalent to the Royal Rumble except without the leotards — we want to see some serious competition go down, ya dig? You’ve got to fight for your favorite gaming system by coming up with the best possible hack you can muster, and documenting it with a proper write-up (we’ll consider really amazing tips and how-tos as well).

"Money where your mouth is" time, boys. If someone has a plan to unveil a DS based robot, now is the time. Don't wait until April 11th.

Thanks to Mark At Kollege

I hope nobody looks over that fact that the DS has been in peoples hands longer... but hopefully the simplicity of the psp counters that = ]

Hope it turns out to be a good match.

Sadly i must say... sigh... we are going to lose... I love the ds but with nintendo's poor marketing strategy and lack of games and software using it's inovative features... the DS will lose. The PSP in it's simplicity and repeditivness will pull through... Nintendo, you've put out a high quality product and let it rot. You've failed us all.

I think that the DS is off to a slow start but when the good games and the Ds online come out it will get better.(Why does Nintendo release the games so slow and why are so many crappy?)

Nintendo's "poor marketing strategy and lack of games" has NOTHING to to do with the user base hacking it

YOU are a Fing idiot

Surely we win by default by being able to run arbitrary code?

Lol your funny, I wasn't reffering only to your hacking efforts... I must say DS hacking has come far, but the PSP will win in simplicity (I'm still holding out for DS though... I love my DS and i'm rooting for it) I was simply giving an all around review and opinion on the mistakes nintendo has made in putting out this inovative amazing products in the US... If you don't want me to state my opinions just say so and don't be a jerk. Come on guys lets get out their and make some AMAZING HACKS!!!
