More DSuggestions

DSRevolution has an editorials discussing a few additions they hope to see in future versions of the DS. Some old stuff, some new stuff like customizable voice alarm clock and Pen to Text Support that might deserve a look over.

Perhaps these can all be rolled into the hacker firmware update?

Actually, no.

I'm not any good at embedded programming, but I wonder if someone could turn the DS into a wireless music player? Stream MP3s over my wireless network to the DS (with a limited search and play-control interface.) Then just plug the headphone jack into your stereo, remote speakers, etc, and you've got a wireless media streamer!

Those things sell for at least $100, and they're not even portable!

I could of sworn it's been said time and time again that the firmware has nothing to do with 99% of the functions people are "suggesting".

Look closely, my excitable little friends, and you can see that the title of the article being discussed is "The Future (Hopefully) Of DS APPLICATIONS". The entire article is talking about software applications, not firmware, and so am I...

Does anyone else have any real software ideas?

Good luck on the Reuben Sandwich. I tried a while back to get my Dreamcast to make me a double-cheeseburger.

(I'm still grappling with the pickle-matrix...)
