Dasher: A touchscreen keyboard perfect for the DS
A great forum topic over at DSLinux reminds me of the best on-screen keyboard I've seen: Dasher.
Dasher works with the touchscreen and and it is a free software portable to all POSIX (Linux/BSD/UNIX-like OSes), PalmOS, & WinCE. Several likely entry points for this software on the DS for when we have some software worth typing in.

I can't navigate that thing for crap.
It hurts my eyes, but I turned up the speed, and it's mad fun to type with this thing. Here's an example of what you can write:
This is a flipping test. Savy? I thought so. Now the questioniswhat else to write.
I kinda screwed up with spaces in some parts, and backspacing isn't handled fast enough, but other then that it's pretty good.
Last post was me too. I just turned the speed up to 8. It's extremely fun to write with it, and very fast when it can actually predict what you're going to say. I wouldn't want to write an entire document in this, but it certainly wouldn't be bad for Instant Message or for typing in commands. It also learns, so the more you use it the faster it is. I want to turn the speed up past 8, but that's how far the bar goes.
The color coding in it is what hurts my eyes I think.
