WTF! DarkFader has competition.
Michael at auia.net has made a setup that allows you to load arm7 and arm9 code from the GBA port on the DS. This is his first graphical demo and unless I am mistaken the first Nitnendo DS demo yet. Make sure to click through to the page describing the process.

I downloaded this file and flashed it the ROM to a cartridge and popped it into the DS only to get one screen of white. Anyone else try this? Anyone know what I did wrong?
Assuming this isn't a hoax - it is huge news for the homebrew scene! If we can run DS code from the plentiful writable cartridges then we're sitting pretty for homebrew.
This could be the boost we've been waiting for...
Awesome! first DS démo :o)))
hope to see more DS demoscene productions!
I beleive that the gba file is like PSO Load. It only enable you to send stuff to it. So if you want to load his demo you need someting like what he built (passthrought). At leat that's what I've understood.
Is this not the much desired way to get homebrew DS code running on the DS that we've been waiting for?
Now just make it compacter and more mainstream, and we're done. No?
The hackers are still in the discovery phase, so there is a long way to go.

P.S. How is dark fader having a competition? Dark fader didn't even make the demo, Joat did.
Jan 25 21:34:29 |joat| auia is my demo, its on a spartan 3 demo board
I meant DarkFader has competition in the 'hacking the ds' scene. The other meaning of the word competition. So far few have been able to load their own code onto the DS. DF partially did it when he modified the Metroid game and now Joat did the demo also Dovoto too I think. Hope that clears it up.
