DS Multiplay at Slainte: PICS

Officially declared a "smash" by several onlookers, the Slainte DS Multiplay went off last night without a hitch. However, as frequently happens in a power vacuum, certain troublemakers appeared and a "punishment stool" was commissioned to deal with them. Shown here is TMG reader SilentK mistreating (eating) his Nintendo DS - a stoolable offence.

In reality, this was the only stool in the bar which sat next to a power outlet. The unlucky ones who came without a fully charged DS needed to take full advantage of their 30-100 foot wireless range to sit on the punishment stool and steal a charge whilst playing...

Regardless of the fact that I showed up 2 hours late, the group was still rockin' the DS without signs of slowing. Onlookers were interested and I upped my kill ratio in Metroid only to be rivaled by "Balzac" - keep in mind Theo's dead battery at the time. Corey and I rocked it to the end. Sweet time - we need more to play with b/c sadly, and contrary to what Nintendo has said, Pictochat is NOT a game. -SilentK

ps - eat your ds, it's good for you.

To anonymous guy from LA - The Mod Gods Multiplay night will eventually take the nation wide tour - but for now you might want to harbor your own DS group - check out - you can use it to find other DS players in your area. Soon enough TMG Multiplay nights will pop up all over, independent of the NYC crew - just like Fight Club.

"Did you hear about the TMG night in Chicago?"
"Dude, I just got back from the TMG night in Portland!"
