A Brett's coffee table EXCLUSIVE
Got my skin in the mail today! I ordered a decalGirls.com skin(a selection of my own design via their custom skin service.) $12.24 with shipping the skin arrives a week later. Also, this is my coffee table. No link provided.
The skin comes on a trimmed sheep of glossy, seemingly rubber-backed material with a vibrant, and colorful sheen. It goes on in 10 minutes, but the top screen decal may be a chore - it covers part of the screen (though no image area) and keeping it from covering any speaker holes will be an iterative process. Fading seems unlikely and curvatures in the DS casing aren't leaving "fade seams." My coffee table is completely covered with postage stamps.
This posting on Darkain's livejournal blog has images of a skin from http://vinzdecals.com/The reader seems very happy with it and the glossy looks pretty sharp in this pictures. The glossy also seems to extend lower onto the DS then the DecalGirl skin above. This DS was apparently photographed on the owner's "binky." Good luck getting the Post Office to accept that.
HOUSEKEEPING:
OTHER FINE HACKABLES: I'm seeing stirrings of many fine new consoles on the market. The PSP is quite solid for tampering right out of the box. The Tiger Gizmondo could be awesome if they do it right and an N-Gage in the making if they start charging subscription services for all their cell and MMS services. Atari has the new Flashback 2 coming out with rumored input for homebrew development and all these sweet rigs will be hacked before we know it.
AUSTRALIA: is getting the DS soon and WAN parties in Sydney are already scheduled. At the moment the date for the first meet is the 28th of Febuary, 4 days after the DS Launch."You gotta give people some time to charge their batteries..."

I've so come to depend on your comments, Anonymouse. Will I ever know what you look like or learn more about your dreams and ambitions? Will I ever get a chance to scrutinize your labors of love?
Should I switch to a login comment system so TMG doesn't get these drivebys? Higher commitment threshold means fewer anonymouse cowards? Vote, please, on your preference.
Anonymous posters need to be banned. Glad to see your finally taking action on these fools! :)
Umm, they should be banned? That means they cannot come to the site anymore. That is a stupidly harsh punishment. I guess I would be banned for posting anonymously many times. I'm not going to register for a freaking blogger account to post here. This is the only blog I read. Learn how to delete comments, and stop complaining.
All of my previous comment's were useful...in fact...all comments including yours' should be deleted. They are all off topic.
I like cheese.

1) Commenting stays anonymous unless it gets unmanageable - and then it goes login.
2) Racism, homophobia, and hate speech get deleted pronto.
3) You can relax about that "off-topic" nonsense. You're thinking of a different site with different rules.
Hey, That is a pretty cool skin, but i cant figure out what that is on the DS's screen in the third picture down...Whatever it is, its a lot of text...
